Kate Odom, PsyD
Clinical Psychologist, Supervisor
Dr. Kate Odom is a member of Garden Health Group as a supervisor for PsyD's and PhD's, and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her Bachelor's of Science at Colorado State University and her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2010. Dr. Odom's graduate work, internship, and post-doctoral concentration were all in Child/Adolescent and Family treatment. She has provided therapy, assessment/psychological testing, and consultation services in a variety of settings, including school, residential programs, primary care, and outpatient centers.
Dr. Odom specializes in trauma, high risk, and high conflict populations, has provided treatment, trainings, and presentations on these topics across the country, as well as providing clinical supervision for graduate students of psychology. She was Director of Training at a private group practice in Seattle, WA, primarily focused on services provided to school districts, including conducting IEE/IEP evaluations and consultation. Dr. Odom returned to Chicagoland in 2019 and was providing clinical supervision to graduate students at Aunt Martha's youth residential and primary care setting, After School Matters, and other community embedded agencies. Currently, Dr. Odom is also a trainer for DBT in Schools.
Dr. Odom provides clinicians training in areas of short-term, solution-focused, behavioral health counseling in addition to traditional talk therapy. Informed by evidenced-based treatments such as TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and others, Dr. Odom will provide psychological education that target client-centered goals in collaboration with each patient's mental health provider.
